Transfennica Logistics con un nuevo servicio ferroviario que enlaza Amberes con Hendaya (Irún)

The subsidiary of the Dutch shipping company, Transfennica Logistics has initiated a new rail service connecting Antwerp to Hendaye (Irun). More precisely, it held its first service on the 8^thof September, linking the Antwerp IFB Zomerweg terminals to the RSM terminal, in Hendaye.

The company reports that last Friday, September 11^th, this train has left Hendaye with Antwerp as destination. Transfennica Logístics explained that, with such a weekly rotation with a transit time of less than 24 hours, the group has created both a short distance maritime service and "a new concept with faster and more frequent multimodal connections from the Benelux to Spain and vice versa".

The company believes that "by using local terminals and with a quick and efficient availability to easily handle on board cargo, plus the wide range of existing partners, Transfennica Logistics will ensure a fast delivery at destination". Bearing this in mind the group declared that such a service, combined with the existing network of maritime shipping lines, "Transfennica Logistics will also provide solutions to Finland, UK, Baltics and Russia”.

Transfennica Logistics, filial de la naviera holandesa, ha puesto en marcha un nuevo servicio ferroviario que enlaza Amberes con Hendaya (Irún). En concreto, esta línea, que realizó su primer servicio el pasado día 8, une las terminales de Amberes IFB Zomerweg y la terminal de RSM, en Hendaya. 

La compañía informa que el pasado viernes, 11 de septiembre, ese mismo tren salió dirección Amberes. Con esta rotación semanal, con un tiempo de tránsito de menos de 24 horas, Transfennica Logístics crea, además del servicio marítimo de corta distancia existente, “un nuevo concepto con conexiones multimodales más rápidos y frecuentes desde el Benelux hacia España y viceversa”, explica el grupo. 

La compañía considera que “mediante el uso de terminales locales y con una disponibilidad rápida, eficiente y de fácil manejo de la carga a bordo, añadiendo el amplio abanico de colaboradores existentes, Transfennica Logistics garantiza una rápida entrega en destino”. En este sentido, señalan que este servicio, en combinación con la red existente de las líneas marítimas de la naviera, “Transfennica Logistics además proporciona soluciones hacia Finlandia, Reino Unido, Países Bálticos y Rusia”.
