The 10th TAG – RAG of the Atlantic Corridor took place at the Coimbra Palace in Lisbon, on the 16th of March 2016.

The 10th TAG – RAG Meeting of the Atlantic Corridor, took place at the Coimbra Palace in Lisbon, on the 16th of March 2016. The event started at 10:30 with a Welcome Speech to the Advisory Group members made by the Portuguese Deputy Director Mr. Eduardo Borges Pires, followed by an update on the Atlantic Corridor’s latest news and work development.

This fist presentation was seconded by the presentation of Mr. Miloslav Kogler from Rail Net Europe (RNE), about the new IT tools developed and implemented in the last year within the scope of CNC workgroups and which will now be made available to the elements of the Advisory groups, upon request to RNE. It included a presentation about the Train Information System (TIS), which enables real-time follow-up of the corridor trains, by presenting their location, delays, railway undertakings, infrastructure manager, etc. Such program will also allow the users to export data from the database for statistical analyses purposes. Furthermore Mr. Miloslav introduced another RNE tool, the Customer Information Platform (CIP). This platform is an interactive, Internet-based information tool that by means of a Graphical User Interface, provides precise information on the routing, terminals, infrastructure investment projects and maintenance works as well, as basic track properties of the participating RFC. This particular tool has already been made available for public use, in the Atlantic Corridor website under the tab CIP.

After the coffee-break, the meeting restarted with a presentation by the Managing Director of the Corridor Mr. Jacques Coutou, concerning the annual results of the Corridor’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and User Satisfaction Survey Results both for 2015 and 2014. These themes concerning the evaluation of the Corridor-Clients relationship were followed by the presentation of Mr. Clément Ruel. The later introduced a synthesis of the “Assessment of the impact of the port development in the Atlantic Corridor”, that is a study developed by the Corridor, mostly oriented for the Ports served by the Atlantic Corridor.

The last presentation was delivered by Mr. Bruno Silva, about the business strategy of CP Carga for the international market involving the Corridor.

To conclude the Atlantic Corridor Team would like to thank all the Advisory Group members that attended the event, for their presence and fruitful contribution, while urging any of the other members to also maintain a close relationship with the Corridor.
