TEN-T - Trans-European Transport Network

The TEN-T Program was established by the European Commission to support the construction and upgrade of transport infrastructure across the European Union.

The TEN-T Program dedicated financial support towards the realization of important transport infrastructure projects - in line with the overreaching goal of European competitiveness, job creation and cohesion.

The TEN-T Executive Agency, created by the European Commission in 2006, managed the Program on behalf of the European Commission for all projects established under the 2000-2006 and 2007-2013 funding schemes. The projects represent all transport modes – air, rail, road, and maritime/inland waterway – plus logistics and intelligent transport systems, and involve all EU Member States.

On 1 January 2014 the TEN-T EA became the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA), but management of all open TEN-T projects continues unaffected.

In this section of the website you will find information only about the TEN-T projects established under the 2000-2006 and 2007-2013 funding schemes.

THE ATLANTIC CORRIDOR WAS AWARDED IN THE

Programing Period 2007-2013

In this period the EU funding for the Atlantic Corridor was obtained through TEN-T Program. The Actions implemented are stated below:

1. Action nº 2011-EU-95107-S for “Regulation (EU) n° 913/2010, of 22 September, concerning a European Rail Network for competitive freight: Implementation of rail freight corridor n°4“ was closed in 2015 with the approval by INEA of the Final Report of this Project.
   
   
2. Action nº 2013-EU-91053-S for “Regulation (EU) 913/2010, (EU) 1315/2013 and (EU) 1316/2013 - Acceleration/facilitation of the implementation of the Atlantic Corridor” was concluded in 2015 and is in course the elaboration of the Final Report to this Project.
